2023 Chairman’s Highlight

There were some great moments and memories from our Championship last year. We hoped you enjoyed it as much as we all did! Here is a snippet of Mark’s favorite moment from 2023!

Day 2, the first race, I got the wind direction wrong and put the boat in a bad position. Late for the line we head to the pin end and tacked onto port to cross the start. Allowing boat to sail free, not pinching, we powered over the fleet and everyone who had started below us. We rounded the first windward mark in 5th, our bow team popped the kite, some good gybe calls propelling us to the front of the fleet. We were overtaken on the last beat however with a bit of fortune and some good tactical sailing we crossed the line in 1st with feet to spare. Both teams clapped and acknowledged the effort of each crews. Close racing at its best! 😊
