Many of you will be aware that our event follows on from the weekend that the NHS regatta is held. A number of our competing teams are chartering boats for a training day on Monday and therefore taking over boats on Sunday evening, giving Sunsail very little time to turn boats around. Racing will always incur breakages and damage and it has been noticed that in some cases the boats are not as in good condition as we would like. Discussions between Sunsail and UKFSC have been taking place and it has been decided to move our Challenge back into May.
The UKFSC is the National Sailing Championships for the Firefighters of the United Kingdom. The Event is held annually at the end of April in The Solent and with the help of our sponsors, we raise money to help many charities.
It is also open to other 999 services, with entries from Police and Ambulance crews. We also extend an invitation to Fire Services from other countries and our sponsors to participate.
We are looking for new sponsors, so if you're interested in finding out more please email us.

It's now been a few days since the finale of the UKFSC 2016 regatta and we hope everyone is getting over their bumps and bruises!
What a week for the weather! We had bright sunshine to snow and virtually everything in between which led to some challenging sailing.
The results are in and viewable on this link. Once again, congratulations to Mason King and his crew for a near faultless performance, taking the visitors' trophy with a total of SIX points.

Ok competitors, only a few days left until the gathering at Port Solent. On a sad note, last year's champions, Northern Ireland, won't be competing this year. Hope to see you in 2017.
