2025 Chairman’s Highlight

Chairman Mark Coupar at the Helm of Mon Dilemme (2025)

There was some great racing and memories from our Championship this year. We hoped you enjoyed it as much as we all did! Here is a snippet of Mark’s favorite moment from 2025!

Having reflected on a successful UKFSC 2025, there were several high points not least the roast dinner at the Island Sailing Club (ISC). 

That said the memory that springs to mind the most was the evening event at the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC). Having recently reopened after a refurbishment the club was in pristine condition, the weather was fair with the sun bathing the lawn and terrace with a warm evening breeze. As the teams arrived it was a pleasure to see the delight on their faces as they viewed the venue for the first time. With the fantastic vista of the Solent as a back drop, groups took the opportunity to take team photographs.

The approving nods and expressions of thanks and congratulations were extremely welcome and I was genuinely touched to think the committee and I had pulled off a special moment that will stick in everyone's memory for some time to come. I'm pleased we are going back in 2026. On behalf of the committee thank you and we hope to see you all next May.
