February 2013- Following our recent meeting at Quinns, we may have some exciting news for all competitors, lips are sealed at the moment but watch this space!!
12th May 2011 - MJ Quinn Intregrated Services Ltd, title sponsors of UKFSC 2011, have advised us that they wish to continue their successful association with UK Firefighters Sailing Challenge. To this end they have agreed to provide sponsorship at Platinum level and retain title ownership of the event for both 2012 and 2013. 12th May 2011 - The UKFSC committee are pleased to announce that the MJ Quinn UK Firefighters Sailing Challenge 2011 raised £8,000 for our chosen charities. The Fire Fighters Charity will receive £3,000 and the Cowes Lifeboat Station appeal will receive £5,000. The committee is very grateful for the generous support given sponsors (MJ Quinn, Boddingtons and InspecFire) and competitors alike for the support that they have given to the 2011 event. Thank you. 28th May 2011 - Skipper Mick Stead and the crew of Hampshire Fire 1 were the winners of the MJ Quinn UK Firefighters Sailing Challenge 2011. After eight testing races over a 3-day period Mick overcame his principle contender Roger Glass on the very last day of the regatta.
