The event will run from Monday 29th April through to Thursday 2nd May.
We will gather at Port Solent, Portsmouth on the 29th April for an
opening ceremony at 'The Boardwalk' pub at 2000hrs, where we will meet both
the sponsors and the other crews for drinks and the issuing of welcome
packs. Crews will be hopefully be able to join their yachts late afternoon
on the 29th.
After the first days' , which this year will consist of four round the
cans races, two in the eastern Solent and two to the west of Cowes, we will
berth at Yarmouth. Crews to meet in the Wheatsheaf pub at 2000hrs for the
days' results and prize giving. Evening free to enjoy the delights of
Yarmouth.
Day two will see four round the cans races in the western Solent to
conclude the main challenge. Boats and crews assemble in Cowes Yacht Haven
for the gala dinner and prize giving.
On the last day there will be another change to the itinerary in that
there will be a handicap passage race back to Portsmouth for a separate
prize. it is anticipated that there will be timed starts of five boats at an
interval determined on the finishing places over the last two days
